How you can achieve great SEO Rankings Featured

Recently we have trialled our own Online Marketing Strategy with some new SEO techniques to test how fast we could achieve great rankings for a given key phrase.
So I took it upon myself to target the phrase "Birmingham Web Design", a keyword phrase that attracts 1290 searches each month (43 per day as a phrase match on Google) for services we provide the Birmingham area.

On starting out there was some research and analysis to perform, first establishing that there was demand for my keyphrase - see this video for more info on how to do this, and secondly checking on the competition online, so I knew it would be a worth while pursuit rather than a task that would take a long time.

Well the research went well, I knew what it would take to out perform my competitors having checked on their performance.
So one month on... here are the results:

Number 1 on Google for the Keyword "Birmingham Web Design", Both broad and phrase matches!
