How to exchange links with another website

To help with your online marketing it's key when embarking on a Search Engine Optimisation program to exchange links between websites. A link from one website, A, to another website, B, is almost like a vote in the eyes of search engines.

So you might also start to think "well if thats the case im going to get as many links to my website as possible, because hey thats how presidents and prime minsters win elections, right..?"

Well with exchanging links online this is slightly different. One rule to remember before you setout on your quest to get hundreads of links, remember quality is better than quantity. For example if you were offered a link exchange from BBC.co.uk or 888.com. You would take the BBC link right? Well the not so obvious answer here is yes i would take the BBC link and run. The reason why you would do this is because the BBC website is a huge website filled with a wealth of pages that spans over a decade. Search Engines have been scanning the BBC website for years and many people have been linking to articles on their website for years and because of this the BBC website ranks very highly and holds a lot of weight with Search Engines.

We were recently approached just before Christmas by one of our existing customers, Keep Focus Security Services Ltd, their brief was we want to be very competitive online for a number of key phrases in the security industry and we want to be in the top 10 on the first page of Google for our main key phrases. We were more than happy to help because we love challenge. The first steps were for us to perform our SEO report, which allows us to analyse and investgigate a companys industry and competition online so that we're versed on what effort would be needed to get great results.

Is A Website Right For You?

On many occassions we come across clients who want to find out more about setting up a website, both for individuals and company's. With both groups there is normally one unifying question weighing on their minds...

Is setting up a website right for me?

There are many reasons why this question is raised;
  • Is the investment right for my situation or company?
  • Will I see a return on my investment (ROI)?
  • Will setting up a website for my business actually help or hinder me?
  • Im not sure that i can justify the initial investment?
  • May be i should wait another 6 - 12 months and see what happens in my industry.
  • My competitors dont have a website so i dont think i need one.
  • the list can go on for almost ever...

So to help answer some of these concerns and questions read on through this article.

Blog commenting

We have now added a commenting component to our blog, so you can now leave comments and thoughts on the topics we post in this section.

We hope you enjoy this new feature and interact with us.

There's a new article on the BBC website confirming the rise in internet shopping by consumers.

They state:

"UK shoppers spent 17 pence in every pound online in the first half of the year, a report has said."

"The total internet spend was £26.5bn, up 38% on the same period last year, according to e-commerce group IMRG and consultancy Capgemini."

So it goes to show having an ecommerce website that is setup correctly and offering the usual features most internet shoppers have become accustom to, might just help you or your company out by maintaining and improving on sales, whilst budgets and cash flow are tight for consumers.

If you would like to enquire about having your very own eCommerce website (Online shop) get in contact today.
